Safeguarding at Kyushin Ryu Ju Jitsu Association

At Kyushin Ryu Ju Jitsu Association, the safety and wellbeing of all our students—children, young people, and adults—is our highest priority. We are fully committed to creating a safe, inclusive, and respectful environment where everyone can enjoy learning Ju Jitsu with confidence and peace of mind.

Our Commitment to Safeguarding

We believe that safeguarding is everyone’s responsibility. Whether you are a student, parent, instructor, or visitor, we expect all members of our community to uphold the highest standards of care and conduct.

To ensure this, we have robust safeguarding policies in place for both children and adults at risk. These policies are regularly reviewed and align with national guidance, including the Children Act 1989 and 2004, the Care Act 2014, and the principles outlined in the Safeguarding Code in Martial Arts.

What We Do to Keep You Safe

All instructors are DBS checked and cleared to work with children and vulnerable adults.
All instructors are fully insured and operate under strict codes of conduct.
All instructors are trained in first aid and have coaching qualifications.
We follow clear procedures for reporting and responding to concerns, ensuring that any issues are dealt with swiftly, sensitively, and appropriately.
We promote a culture of openness and respect, where students feel safe to speak up and are listened to.
