Yoshimi
Kyushin Ryu Ju Jitsu Association are very proud that they
are founder members of Yoshimi Ju Jitsu International, Yoshimi's birth
is documented on its own website and
you will find a link to this site below. Many of the coaches and members
of Kyushin Ryu had visited Belgium many times over the years prior
to Yoshimi being formed so it was natural for the two countries to
become the co-founders of the organisation. Leslie Ottoey & Roger
Wilkes, our two primary founders, had also visited many countries during
their careers and so it was through already found friendships that
others came onboard as well
Yoshimi literally translates to mean “Friendship” and
that is the basis of the organisation, it has no President or Chairman,
no officers or committee instead each country has a representative
who receives information on international courses and, or competitions,
being held each year and relays that information to all those who have
shown an interest in attending. Although Roger, KRJJA's founder is
the representative for this country any other groups, clubs, organisations
or associations are welcome to come along to Yoshimi's events. There
is also no financial commitment, no annual fee's although all travel
costs have to be met by those traveling, Yoshimi does not award grades
or interfere with its member organisations each is left to govern themselves.
Yoshimi Ju Jitsu International is a group
of countries who have joined together to share their interest in Ju
Jitsu, enjoy traveling to other countries and enjoy the friendship
of those members from other countries who have the same interest in
the art of Ju Jitsu. Anyone, group, association or club interested
in our international body of friends within Ju Jitsu should contact
us on the Kyushin Ryu Ju Jitsu Association web site; info@kyushinryu.com where you will be made
very welcome.
